Ayobami Olubiyi brings over 30 years of experience in government, the energy sector, and management consulting. He possesses graduate and postgraduate qualifications in International Studies and has furthered his expertise through leadership programs at Wharton’s ASIS program for Risk Management Executives and Thunderbird’s School of Global Management.
With a tenure marked by keen strategic policy development and execution, Ayobami has served within the Federal Government of Nigeria and at ExxonMobil. His roles included General Manager at Mobil Producing Nigeria and Esso Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited, as well as Policy Advisor at Esso UK’s Africa Risk Business Centre. His expertise is deeply rooted in managing people at risk, particularly in Operations, Investigation, and Intelligence.
Ayobami’s specialization in Risk Management, Due Diligence, Crisis Management, and Emergency Preparedness & Response has earned him the 2013 Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) Distinguished Achievement Award from the U.S. Department of State. As Chairman of the Risk Management Sub-Committee for the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) and Co-Chairman of the OSAC Lagos Council, his strategic leadership have been pivotal to enhancing industry standards and shaping effective risk management protocols. Ayobami currently serves as a Risk Management Consultant.
