With the primary goal of alleviating the financial strain on parents and reducing absenteeism due to a lack of basic school supplies,
the "Back To School Project" aims to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for vulnerable students. "Empowering
Futures" encapsulates the essence of the "Back To School Project," a testament to the transformative power of strategic
partnerships in creating brighter futures for students across communities. This initiative stands as a steppingstone for future
endeavors that aim to uplift and empower those who need it most.
In a collaborative effort between United Way Greater Nigeria and GE Gas Power, the "Back School Project" emerges as a beacon of
hope, touching the lives of 150 school children from Wesley School of Hearing Impaired, Surulere, Lagos, and Whanyinna Nursery &
Primary School, Makoko, Lagos. This initiative goes beyond providing learning essentials; it is a holistic endeavor to foster student
development, particularly focusing on the Girl Child.
The project strategically targets communities facing economic challenges, ensuring the impact is directed where it is most needed.
